Educational tour: INS Jalashwa is synonymous with bravery

Students visited Visakhapatnam’s Sub Marine Museum and Aircraft Museum Ambikapur.  Students of Shri Sai Baba Day Boarding School took an educational tour to Visakhapatnam. During the trip organized from 19 to 24 December, the students saw the Indian Naval Port (Indian Navy Base), INS Jalashwa which was unforgettable. While giving a tour on this aircraft carrier, Captain Naushad Ali Khan said that it has the capacity to accommodate five helicopters, 10 trucks and four patrolling ships simultaneously. He told the students that this aircraft carrier was purchased from America and it is the third largest aircraft carrier of India. It was inducted into the Indian Navy in 2007. Captain Naushad Ali Khan informed about the capacity of cabin, mess and luggage storage. He told that when we are away from land, all the necessary items are with me on the ship. Preparations are made according to the mission. He informed about the operational status of the vessel. During this, Lieutenant Karthik informed about the strategic facts by showing many videos and slides. He told that this aircraft carrier does not directly participate in the war but works as a strategic transport. During war, weapons, cannons, helicopters and other strategic items are delivered to the front. As soon as they reached the ship, the students were welcomed with caps. The students were fed air fried samosas, juice, self-made Jalashwa treat chocolate, cake which was very tasty. Principal Prachi Goyal told after the visit that Jalashwa’s kitchen and arrangement for storing food items was very good. Under the leadership of Principal Prachi Goyal, students visited Sub Marine Museum and Aircraft Museum. Students became aware of the conditions of war and its preparations. RK Beach and Rishikonda Beach are famous for their natural beauty and waves, the students enjoyed it. The journey of Vande Bharat was exciting for the students. Sports teachers Rahul Sonkar and Arjita Sinha cooperated during the educational tour.
